Purpose
It chronicles Sonic running from G.U.N., an elite group of the military sent to track down Sonic. City Escape begins with Sonic "road surfing" down the streets of a city and ends with running from a giant truck trying to squash him.
Appearance
The design of this level is based on parts of San Francisco, where Sonic Team USA is located.
Big the Cat Location
When running from the G.U.N. truck, Big can be seen along the right side of the track. He gets squished by the truck.
