The Sonic Crackers art compression format is used to store graphics for the "field" levels in Sonic Crackers. There are only two such levels, and so this format is only used twice in the ROM. The compression format is not known to be used in any other game.
In 2003, Nemesis wrote a command-line decompressor for the format, which was released as part of the Nemesis MD Programs collection.
