Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is an upcoming sports game announced by Sega and Nintendo in April. The mascots of both companies, Mario and Sonic, along with supporting characters from each series, will be playable in events such as judo, swimming, table tennis and track and field. The game, set to take place at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, is the first official game of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games to be released, with a more realistic sports game to be later released by Sega in 2008.
