Formed around May 2002, the Sonic 2 Beta Music website was created by Alexbt as an extension of Simon Wai's Sonic 2 Beta website, which at the time was run by Pelord.
The website was supposed to answer and discuss the soundtrack and differences thereof, but the site became forgotten over time.
An ezBoard was created to go along with the website, and hopefully draw in members from Sonic Classic.
The website has since closed, but the forum is still in existance, currently located at: http://p081.ezboard.com/bsonic2betamusic
After the transition of Sonic 2 Beta to Sonic Classic, S2BM reformed as Sonic Music Center.
