This is the Sonic Community Hacking Guide documenting the Sega Mega Drive Video Display Processor. It is intended to serve as a comprehensive, up-to-date reference, and make it easier to understand the various aspects, complexities and bugs of the VDP.
Much of the information in this guide is taken from Charles MacDonald's VDP documentation, and from the official Genesis Software Manual.
