Veg-O-Machine
Game: Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball
Level: The Machine
Fought by: Sonic

The Veg-O-Machine is the third boss of Sonic Spinball for the Sega Mega Drive. Just as The Machine is the Veg-O-Fortress' reason for being, this boss is in turn The Machine's reason for being. Fuelled by the geothermal energies harnessed in Lava Powerhouse, the Veg-O-Machine is an automatic robotciizer, transforming helpless Animals into Badniks at a terrifying rate.

Strategy

Happily, this abomination of Eggman's twisted mind does not put up too much of a fight. Sonic must simply smash the tubes which feed animals to the cruel machine, which take 10 hits each to destroy. As long as one of the tubes remain, the Veg-O-Machine will continue to produce Badniks en masse. When both tubes are gone, the machine will be totally helpless to stop Sonic, who then must hop inside and smash the thing up pinball-style.

Hitting the targets in the arena will activate the surge, which will save Sonic if he falls between the flippers, allowing him to continue his assault on the Veg-O-Machine.

Quotes

Figure out the Veg-O-Machine's secret to free the hostages! The destruction of the Fortress begins!
