An example of Tiido's modding skills

<forumuser name="TmEE" type="game" />TmEE is a Tech Member on the Sonic Retro forum. By his own words, the complete version of his nickname is "TµEE co.™", an acronym that stands for Tiido's Micro Electronical Entertainment Company; for easier usage anyway, the micro sign is usually replaced by a normal m, and there's no mention to the "Company" at all.

He comes from Estonia and his skills span across several areas, including extreme hardware modding skills and prolificient programming skills. His code is usually very well optimised, as he is an oldschool programmer that gives a lot of importance to optimisation. As an example of this, he is writing his own sound driver for the Sega Genesis, which runs on the Z80 processor and pushes it to its limiting providing sound quality and features rarely seen in other sound drivers; furthermore, he's developing a powerful tracker to compose the songs for said driver with little effort. He's also very active in the homebrew community.

He started his programming ventures in the summer of 2005 when he discovered what QBASIC.EXE in the DOS directory on the hard drive of his PC really was. He quickly learned basic things, and having a rather poor machine, he became learning code optimiztion tricks in order to enjoy his own work at maximum efficiency. Few months later he learned some x86 assembly and made a small library for QuickBASIC 4.5 that enabled him to do things otherwise impossible. One of such things is Glass Breaker QB, a game which he later rewrote in 68000 assembly for Sega Mega Drive / Genesis. He started with MD programming at the age of 15, in 2005. All his PC side tools are written in QuickBASIC 4.5 and all MD side things are in 68000 and Z80 assembly. He would use C but as of yet, he does not know that language. His work on MD has been mainly related to sound. He wrote some of the fastest Z80 WAV file players and created one of the best sound engines for MD: Tiido's Music & Sound Engine, TMSE for short. The development started in 2007 and continues to this day.
