Pam's Adventure: The New Adventure

Pam's Adventure: The New Adventure is one of The Eighth Bit's games. It is a game about his mother, originally made as a birthday present for her. This game grew into one of The Eighth Bit's most advanced games. The game has three engines. This is because The Eighth Bit learned more about how to use Game Maker, so he abandoned the old engine and started a new one. All content in the game was made by The Eighth Bit, including the music, sound effects, and graphics.

Similarities to Sonic Games

The game features many sonic-like elements, such as different shields that serve different purposes, such as protecting her from a certain hazard. The water also works in a similar way. When Pam goes into the water, she is slowed down, but she sinks to the bottom with a limited supply of air (as indicated by an onscreen meter).

Differences to Sonic Games

While many things are directly based on Sonic games, there are many differences. One of these differences is the lack of the trademark dynamic slopes and loops, and the lack of speed. The game features many more powerups than Sonic 3 and Knuckles, including shields, such as the vacuum shield, and antigravity powerups, such as the mini-copter and the balloon.

Random Sonic

This game is different than most as it uses internet memes and other random things as enemies, levels, etc. Many things made popular by Youtube Poops are present. Most of the content, besides a lot of the music, are not original. This game received mixed reviews. People on Youtube and other people such as Jaseman liked the game, while most people at Sonic Retro disliked the game because it was a poor attempt at a game and that the memes were just not funny. The negative criticism lead The Eighth Bit to possibly cancel future work on the game.

Shortly before the discontinuation of the project, a special feature was added, allowing users to change the main character of the game. However, it only allowed users to change the player sprites, collision boxes, and names.

Gameplay

The game features gameplay not unlike a normal Sonic game. Sonic can jump, run, roll, and spindash (complete with the ability to charge the spindash by hitting the jump key repeatedly. The power is indicated by a bar on the screen while spindashing). He also has some new moves, such as shooting heat-seeking missiles (This might not have been used in the final game), and a pseudo-homing attack (Sonic doesn't actually home in on enemies, he just shoots himself forward, much like in SRB2).

None of the enemies in the game are normal sonic enemies. The enemies include random things like AOSTH Robotnik, "Sonic 1" Sonic, Somari, and Billy Mays.

The game also features a character called Super Duper Hyper Ultra Mega Ultimate Random Sonic, the "Ultimate Random Form" of Sonic. He is literally invincible, and he can fly, making it easy to beat the game as him. He was going to be added as a playable character after beating the game or finding an item.
