These controls are intended for a Contra-esque run'n'gun shooter.

On the ground In the air
A Interact Fire
B Fire
C Jump
Up Look up Aim
Down Crouch
Left Move
Right
UpLeft Move, aim up
UpRight
DownLeft Crawl
DownRight

Collectable powerups may replace the functionality of the A and/or C buttons.

Problems

  • Not possible to aim UpLeft or UpRight while stationary.
    • An "aimlock" button has been suggested to allow for standing still and aiming in any direction, possibly holding the Jump button after landing? I'd like to avoid requiring a six-button controller if possible, since more people have a three-button controller.
  • Not possible to aim Up while moving.
