There had also been a complete turnaround in his relationship with [[Nineko]], who had previouly hated him - he would later even go on to beta test [[soniNeko]]. Nineko teached him how to use xm3smps. So he was given the ability to register again when he translated a 6-page long Sonic 3 article originally printed in a German magazine. This article was very interesting, as it featured several things that weren't seen before, most notably a mention of a "Help!" item. After several discussions with Tweaker, he was able to try the Technical quiz, gaining 10 more posts which he spent well by {{LinkRetro|topic=9730|title=posting several translations}} and a thread about his hack. He became a member again. Around that time, he has been editing the Wiki a lot. Mostly in terms of [[:sega:Category:Mega_Drive_Emulators|Sega Mega Drive/Genesis emulation]]. Now he calls himself the inofficial Sonic Retro Wiki Emulator Maintainer. But that's not confirmed. Just a rumor really. Thanks to him every publically released Mega Drive emulator now has an own Wiki article. But, time passed and in January 2009 he got banned from the forums again, after a flamewar about a {{LinkRetro|topic=13690|title=Toy Story MOD player}}.

Although development was hit by problems several times, the current status of the game is pretty good. Most of the music is already finished and implemented into the gmae. He helped to fix bugs in the sound engine, and made huge progress in providing music tools for the [[Mega Drive]].

He joined Sonic Retro in 2006. From 2007 until 2009 he developed a modified version of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Mega Drive called Sonic 1 Oergomized. In 2012 he was promoted to tech membership as a result of his Mega Drive homebrew developments.

From 2010 onward, Oerg866 has worked on Project MD, a Mega Drive game, with Sik. He wrote the entire soundtrack and co-authored the sound driver, Echo.

In 2011, together with Jorge Candeias, he released a Sega Mega Drive demo called "MDEM's first", which, even though it was mediocre and did not get much attention from outside, is now seen as the project that started the entire demoscene on this platform. Later that year, he released xm2esf, a tool that takes XM files as input and generates ESF streams for Echo.

From its founding in late 2011 until April of 2014, he hosted MDScene and VGMRips.
