This needs deletion. As I read on wikipedia This enemy IS mecha sonic, in the japanese version, the names of this boss and the sonic 2 boss are the same. So really mecha Sonic should be the only Mecha sonic in the sonic 3 boss section. This is really a dupe of Mecha Sonic.--MathUser 05:27, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

"Super Mecha Sonic" is a fan name. In Sonic Jam Official Guide and Sonic Mega Collection Saikyou Kouryaku Guide this form has no particular name, the boss is simply "Mecha Sonic". We should probably treat it similarly to Drill Mobile and include both Sonic/Tails and Knuckles boss fights on the same page. --Pecky (talk) 06:41, 21 February 2021 (EST)
- Sonic Origins just made things a lot more complicated...
- When playing Boss Rush for Sonic 3 & Knuckles as Knuckles, the title card displayed before the fight displays "Super Mecha Sonic Mk. II" as the boss's name, and the concept art for the boss even uses the name "Super Mecha Sonic". --BSonirachi (talk) 21:56, 23 June 2022 (EDT)
