:I know this is unrelated, but while that we're talking about the ring sound effect, don't forget that [http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=8815&view=findpost&p=357041 the left ring and the right ring sfxs in Sonic 1 and in Sonic 2 have different durations] (though it was fixed in Sonic 3, I eventually checked that). This might be another trivia which could be added. [[User:Nineko|Nineko]] 23:17, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

::OH! That explains why there are 2 ring sound effects in the sound test. I always wondered about that as a kid. And while I was testing to see which games had and hadn't, some of them played on a certain speaker correctly while others certainly sounded different... Sound effect

[1] This needs more research. I recently noticed this (to be honest, I noticed this around 5 months back, but w/e), but I didn't test in all games. I have this list, though, for the games I tested. Feel free to add to this so we can have an interesting list of games that contain this tidbit.

  • Sound alternates
    • Sonic 1
    • 2
    • 3 (& Knuckles)
    • CD
    • Knux' Chaotix
  • Sound doesn't alternate
    • Heroes
