It's ''implied'' to be the tallest mountain, and it's depicted as cartoonishly huge in Robotnik's video, but it's never outright stated. I think it might be a bit of a "Beam me up, Scotty" - one of those things that feels like it should be true, but was never actually said. Here's the relevant part:
