The research on the Sonic Wikia (Trivia section) is very interesting. Is this right? It would make more sense, too. Despatche (talk) 20:48, 10 May 2017 (CDT)

::While your thirst for nominative exactitude does you credit, A) where's your reference that Metal Sonic Kai is Chaotix's name for the standard blue one, and B) we generally accept deuterocanonical names in the absence of <u>any</u> official name; see for example Giant Mech and Eggrobo (Sonic Lost World Boss). It's not pretty, but a sea of systematically named "XYZ Zone Boss" pages is even less pretty.

::As for merging with the Metal Sonic page, the standard operating procedure is to give a separate wiki page to every boss, even if (in a story sense) that boss is the same guy - otherwise the page for Eggman would be 100 screens long. Occasionally it makes sense to give exceptions to this rule (for example in Sonic Lost World, where there's similar bosses almost every act and they're not different enough to really justify separating them out), but Big Red Metal Sonic Boss Fight is distinct from regular Metal Sonic in both form and function, so I would discourage this possible solution. While your thirst for nominative exactitude does you credit, A) where's your reference that Metal Sonic Kai is Chaotix's name for the standard blue one, and B) we generally accept deuterocanonical names in the absence of any official name; see for example Giant Mech and Eggrobo (Sonic Lost World Boss). It's not pretty, but a sea of systematically named "XYZ Zone Boss" pages is even less pretty.
As for merging with the Metal Sonic page, the standard operating procedure is to give a separate wiki page to every boss, even if (in a story sense) that boss is the same guy - otherwise the page for Eggman would be 100 screens long.
