Super Mecha Sonic appears in the Knuckles' boss battle in Sky Sanctuary Zone when you have defeated Mecha Sonic in his normal form, Mecha Sonic jumps onto the Master Emerald, it is the super form of the Sonic & Knuckles Boss. It requires you to hit Mecha Sonic, when in the normal form, 8 times to defeat this boss.
