Stories

Sonic the Hedgehog - "Doctor Sun, Parts 1 and 2"

In Sonic's secret underground base, Mr. Stripes enters to tell Sonic about his missing son. He has joined a cult who follow a man named "Doctor Sun". Sonic and Tails use the Star Post to warp to the Mystic Cave Zone to look for the boy. The two are attacked by a Crawlton, which Sonic quickly destroys, but then he is surrounded by Flashers. Trying to avoid them only put Sonic into more danger as the bridge he was walking on collapses and he falls into the pit of spikes below. Tails manages to catch him just in time, but Sonic isn't too grateful for his help. Tails hits his head on the ceiling, knocking him out, and causing the two of them to fall into another trap. The only way out is by pulling a cord high up to stop the spikes. Sonic wakes Tails up and orders him to go pull it, causing the spikes to retract.

Here Sonic and Tails meet this "Doctor Sun" character they heard about earlier and see lots of kids wearing blue robes. Sun is relieved to see Sonic and Tails made it through Robotnik's traps, and tells them if he had known they were coming, he would have told them about the safe route. He did somehow know that Sonic was here to rescue one of his recruits to the cult. Doctor Sun asks Mr. Stripes' child if he would like to leave, which the kid rejects. Doctor Sun had been letting the kids play video games and read comics, for a time anyway, as he was actually turning them all into Badniks. Once Doctor Sun says "eggsactly", Sonic figures out who he really is. He rips off Robotnik's disguise and the two start fighting. Sonic uses the Egg Mobile to destroy Robotnik's machine and he leads the kids out of the place before it blows up.

Tails - "Attack of the Badniks"

Knuckles - "Guardian of the Chaos Emeralds"

On Planet Mobius, there is a legend about a Floating Island that sometimes strikes a cloud. This secret island in the sky is guarded by a fellow named Knuckles the Echidna. Knuckles is the only one here as the rest of the Echidnas have been missing all his life, but he knows they will return someday. One day, the Death Egg crashed onto the island in Icecap Zone. Knuckles traveled to it as fast as he could through the Zoom Tube. Once he sees the Death Egg, a robot comes out that leads to Dr. Robotnik, who is trapped under rubble. The robot also explains that the Death Egg is a satellite which was "harmlessly" orbiting Planet Mobius until this morning. The failure of the main engines caused it to crash on the Floating Island. Knuckles also informs Robotnik's robot that the Floating Island has a set of Chaos Emeralds, which is what allows the island to fly. Once Knuckles found Robotnik, the doctor tells Knuckles about an "evil deadly menace" named Sonic the Hedgehog.
