The Sonic the Hedgehog X account is the official X (formerly known as Twitter) account of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, acting as a direct channel of communications between Sega and the Sonic fanbase. First launched on June 23, 2014, and operated by Sega of America's Social Team, the account has gained a reputation for its self-aware, candid fan engagement and its unashamed acknowledgement of the franchise's more embarrassing moments.
