Sonic the Hedgehog CD build v1.05 is a near-final prototype of Sonic the Hedgehog CD for the Sega Mega-CD, dated August 1st, 1993, about a week before the final Japanese build. This one was sent for reviews, and only has a small number of differences from the final left.
History
Two copies of this prototype have been found. The first copy was found by drx and released on Hidden Palace on December 25th, 2017. A second copy was later acquired by drx in conjunction with The Cutting Room Floor, along with several other prototypes of Sonic CD and other Sonic games, and dumped as part of "Sonic Month 2019" from October to November 2019[1]. This second copy, along with the other Sonic CD prototypes, was released to the public on October 26, 2019. The new copy is a perfect match for the previous dump.
