Game: Sonic Shuffle
Type: Stage Clear

Sonic Surfing is a Stage Clear mini-game in Sonic Shuffle. It is played after all of the Precioustones have been collected in Emerald Coast.

Gameplay

The iceberg that is encasing Emerald Coast breaks away and melts, creating a giant tidal wave. Players must surf down the tidal wave by pressing Left and Right to move in desired direction. They can also jump, but doing so will move them back. Hitting driftwood will result in lost Rings and getting sent back. Riding the top of the wave will get a player ahead; they must not go too far up the wave or else they'll fall off it. As the game progresses, the wave gets larger and larger. When the wave is almost a circle, players must remember that left and right movements become reversed when upside-down. To stay in one spot, a player has to have the Analog Stick moved slightly to the right.

The player in the lead at the end of the mini-game is declared the winner, and is awarded an Emblem.
