Speculation

When asked about Sonic CD ever having a seperate soundtrack release, and being told about this one, an anonymous Sonic expert says the following:

"The album "front" is fake. I'm tempted to guess the whole thing is a custom job... Look - it has SA-style Sonic art on it. That was not introduced until December 1998."

Two possible scenarios were given:

  1. It was not released, and (Team Artail) isn't telling the truth.
  2. The scans are from a reprint, using SA art.

"Most likely the second."

Then the scan on this page was noticed, which is a scan of the cover inside the jewel case, moreso proving the non-fakeness of the album. This is still a strange mystery.
