a one-page preview from a 60 percent complete prototype of Sonic R in the December 1997 issue of American gaming magazine GamePro. It appears to be from a newer build than the October preview GamePro gave, but still has the prototype racer icons on the side.
Saturn ProReview - Sonic R
A single-page review of Sonic R in the February 1998 issue of American gaming magazine GamePro. The reviewer, Dan Elektro, ultimately gave the title a mixed review, with control and graphics getting a 3 out of 5 and sound and fun factor a 2.5.
