Sonic Prime Dash is a game developed by Sega Europe studio Hardlight in collaboration with Netflix that was released for iOS and Android devices through the Netflix Games service made to promote the titular animated series and released the same day as its second season. The game itself is an altered version of Sonic Dash made exclusive for the service featuring characters and setpieces from the Sonic Prime animated series.
Gameplay
Like Sonic Dash +, the game has no in-app purchases; any items or unlockable characters are bought through Red Star Rings. Event characters, however, now require 500 tokens to unlock instead of 200.
The initial cast of new characters consist of Boscage Maze Sonic, Rusty Rose and Tails Nine with the rest of the roster made up by a collection of characters that appeared on Sonic Dash beforehand, although in a reduced manner. Exclusively to this version of the game, the Sonic Prime-themed characters are given affinity bonuses based on certain Animal friends.
- Boscage Maze Sonic has affinities with Flicky and Rocky.
- Tails Nine has affinities with Picky and Pocky.
- Rusty Rose has affinities with Pecky and Ricky.
New Yoke City is a location in the game and Dr. Babble appears as a boss character.
