*While all original music and remixes specifically created for Generations appear on the soundtrack, there are a handful of tracks in the game that do not show up in the track list. These songs, unlockable in the game, were all lifted directly from previous games in the series, some being slightly re-sequenced with different instrumentation. Among those tracks are the music to Angel Island Zone, Toxic Caves, Forest Falls, the 16-bit version of Diamond Dust Zone, and the vocal song Race to Win.

Sonic Generations Original Soundtrack: Blue Blur
Record label: Wave Master

Sonic Generations Original Soundtrack: Blue Blur is a three-disc album featuring the music from the multi-platform video game of the same name. The first disc focuses on the Xbox 360/Playstation 3 version of the game, while the second lays claim to the handheld version. The initial packaging included an oversized obi, a slipcase, and a sticker sheet done in the style of the Casino Night Zone slot machine icons. On the reverse of the stickers came a code for the Generations trophy room that unlocked a Dark Chao trophy.

Miscellaneous

 • Though the soundtrack was only available in Japan, for a limited time Jun Senoue made Blue Blur available on his website, all those who ordered from there not just getting the music but also having their package signed by the man himself. Another added bonus was a Sonic-themed guitar pick, featuring the classic silhouetted Sonic from the initial Sonic Adventure promotional material.
 • While all original music and remixes specifically created for Generations appear on the soundtrack, there are a handful of tracks in the game that do not show up in the track list.
 • In 2012, the soundtrack was released to digital avenues. Called Sonic Generations Official Soundtrack, the truncated release only contained 60 tracks. Among those that hit the cutting room floor were the cut scene instrumentals, the "White Space Medley" and both credit sequences.
