$D36C0 | An earlier version of Sonic's falling pose for the Sonic & Knuckles title screen. The shading for Sonic's eyes and chest is unpolished[1].
Work-in-progress title screen frames for Sonic & Knuckles. Like the above graphic, Sonic's eyes and chest are lacking polish in the shading, while Knuckles is mostly finalised save for a few pixels on the shoes. The placeholder numbers for the animated tiles can also be seen in these frames[1]. The fourth frame in its unfinished state can also be seen on the MTV television show, Rock the Rock[2].
$D4D90 | An earlier version of the Sonic & Knuckles logo for the title screen[1].
$165240 | An earlier version of the Sonic & Knuckles logo for the endings[1]. Pro Action Replay code FFFFAE:0001 will force the game to display this logo in Knuckles' ending instead of the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 logo.
A unique ending pose for Sonic that goes completely unused. No mappings appear to exist for this graphic, so its assembly here is based on guesswork[1]. |
