Scrambled Egg Zone
Sixth Zone, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8-bit)
Number of Acts: 3
Boss: Mecha Sonic

Scrambled Egg Zone is the sixth zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Due to the music of the stage, this appears to be where Tails is hiding. This is a stage with some difficulty, but frustration ensues when you're dealing with the hundreds of thousands of assorted tubes in the stage. The boss of this level is none other than Silver Sonic (Very similar to Mecha Sonic or Metal Sonic). He is oddly easy to take down, which may be disappointing to some fans.

Instruction Manual Description

Shoot through twisting, turning pipes that lead to traps or treasures. Use the D-Button to make turns of the junctions.

It is in this Zone that you come face to face with Robotnik's baddest creation, the Silver Sonic! It has the Super Spin Attack and a bunch of dirty tricks to do to our hero. But does it have what it takes?

Note: If you have collected five Chaos Emeralds and manage to defeat the Silver Sonic, it will relinquish the sixth Emerald to you. If you have less than five Emeralds, you will receive no further Chaos Emeralds for the rest of the game.

Villains

Badniks

  • Bomb — Mindless kamikaze bomb bots that walk back and forth along a short plane, either on the ground or ceiling. As soon as Sonic approaches, they stop moving and start flashing: after a few seconds, they explode into a small shower of flashing projectiles. Look out when they attack in groups.
  • "???" — Nameless turtle-resembling robot.
  • Ganigani — Also known as Crabmeat. Crab bots that move back and forth in a small area. Every once in a bit they pause to fire flashing projectiles in either direction.
