Scourge the Hedgehog

Scourge the Hedgehog, is basically Sonic's evil twin. In the comic series, there is an anti-Mobius, where all the Mobians have an evil twin or opposite. Originally dubbed "Evil Sonic", The Anti-Mobius' Sonic escaped to Mobius Prime using a zone link generator created by Evil Rotor. Once there, he knocked Sonic out, and threw him back though the portal to Anti-Mobius, leaving himself to impersonate Mobius' great hero. Sonic realised what had happened, and with Evil Rotor's help, made it back to Mobius Prime where Evil Sonic had teamed up with Rouge the Bat, to try to steal the Master Emerald from Locke (Knuckles' father). Locke easily fended off both Evil Sonic and Rouge. One during the battle, Evil Sonic made a dash for the Master Emerald. While atop the Emerald Locke swiped at Evil Sonic's chest, giving him a scar on his chest as he flew back from the impact. Lying on the Master Emerald however, Evil Sonic somehow permanently absorbed the power of Chaos. He stood atop the Master Emerald, now green by the Master Emerald and was now overcome by his new power. Locke tried to purge the emerald of Evil Sonic's foothold. However, now super powerful Evil Sonic easily evaded Locke's attacks, and put the hurt on him with several fast punches and spindashes. Evil Sonic exclaimed, "Try that again, old man". Rouge replied, "I dig the green bod". Evil Sonic remarked, "Yeah babe, but I'm a real Scourge all the same"! And thus Scourge the Hedgehog was born. Being as fast as Sonic, and slightly stronger than Shadow, he was now a formidable foe to be reckoned with. After fighting the Freedom Fighters on his and Sonic's birthday, along with Shadow, he and Rouge decided to bail. With Shadow hot on their trail, a warp ring generated by an unknown source appears. Grateful for the escape, Scourge jumps through the warp ring, was instantly teleported, and the warp ring closed before Shadow could follow.

Scourge has only returned twice. Once with Sleuth to retrieve a warp ring, a second time to break the news to Sonic that his girlfriend Fiona has been cheating on him with Scourge. After a brief brawl, Scourge transported himself and Fiona somewhere unknown. Scourge has not made any appearances to Knothole since then.
