Ridal Tap[1] is a variety of Badnik created by Dr. Eggman, encountered by Sonic or Tails in Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble.

Overview

STT SP Badnik A.PNG

These orange-helmeted Badniks are found riding up and down on elevators found around Sunset Park Zone and also Meta Junglira Zone. They are outfitted with small turrets on the sides of their heads, and on periodic intervals they will pause their movements and fire projectiles from both sides. After the player destroys them, they can ride their elevators to reach higher routes.

Like other robots in 8-bit Sonic games, no animal friends pop out of these bots when they are destroyed. Whether these Badniks canonically don't contain organic batteries, or the escaping critters simply aren't shown due to programming limitations, is not known.
