Template:CharacterSheet Ray the Flying Squirrel is a yellow squirrel with a long tail, and presumably the ability to glide. He is an old friend of both Sonic the Hedgehog and Mighty the Armadillo. In the arcade game, SegaSonic the Hedgehog, Ray, along with Sonic and Mighty, were captured by Dr. Robotnik, who imprisons them somewhere in an island fortress. Together, the three of them had to avoid Dr. Robotnik's traps, and escape from the island. Unlike Mighty, this was the only game Ray was featured in, and was never seen again afterwards (except for two cameo appearances: in the Sega Saturn title, Gale Racer, in which he and several other Sonic universe characters were seen hanging from a car mirror, and in Sonic Generations on a missing poster).
He is voiced by Hiroko Yoshino.
