Level theme: mountain/canyon
Boss: Battle Kukku 16th
Non-English names:
Volcanic Tunnel | Lake Rocky

Polly Mt. 1 (called Pori Pori Mountain in the Japanese version) is the third level of Tails Adventures for the Sega Game Gear. Tails explores the windswept peaks in Polly Mt. 1, and later returns to check out the pitch-black inner caves in Polly Mt. 2. Thanks to the non-linear nature of Tails Adventures, the young fox must return to Polly Mt. 1 on various occasions as new items open up new routes; specifically, the Large Bomb granting access to the Rocket Booster.

Overview

Sneaking up from the firey depths of Volcanic Tunnel, Tails first accesses the mountain chain from below, popping out amongst the exterior peaks from the cave system that riddles Cocoa Island. While the Battle Kukku Army had only sent their remote robots into the deep underground, here helmeted birds run back and forth lobbing bombs amidst the caverns. And predictably, there's a lot more Kukkus soaring around the eyries of the mountain chain.

Polly Mt. 1's boss is the first of two times Tails must face the crown prince of the Battle Kukku Empire: "Speedy", Battle Kukku 16th. After facing off against him, the Sea Fox will become accessible.
