Never Turn Back is the ending theme for the true ending (last story) of the Shadow the Hedgehog. In the credits, it is preceded by a slow, sad piano tune according to the chorus of "I Am... All Of Me", which is not part of the song in the game's sound test but it can be heard as it the last sound test called "Ending", and is part of it on the official vocal tracks album, The song itself is a hard rock song that is typical to the band's style, but instead of a guitar riff at the beginning like most of their songs, it opens with lead singer Johnny Gioeli going "Whoa-oh, whoa-oh, oh, yeah!"
