E-1004 Klagen, or simply known as Klagen, are members of the E-Series and are enemies that appear in Sonic Heroes. Their name is derived from kurage, the Japanese word for "jellyfish".

This strange robots do not attack but simply grab and hold one of the player's teammates. If they are not rescued, they cannot be selected to play with. They will eventually release the captured teammate, but not before giving them a quick slap with their tentacles. If all three members are captured by a Klagen, then it's game over. Klagen are not very strong and can be taken out with Homing Attack or Thunder Shoot.

There is an upgraded version of the Klagen called the Gold Klagen.
