|GUN Military Truck
|First seen: Sonic Adventure 2 (2001)
This game marks the truck's debut where it was sent to capture Sonic after his escape from the military. It is completely grey and black, heavily armored with an emblem of the G.U.N. on the front and side, and big enough to cover both sides of the street. Near the end of City Escape, the truck appears and chases Sonic, destroying everything that gets in its way, including cars, signs and trees. The player will have to be very careful and run as fast as they can because it is indestructible, and will have to survive until the end of the hunt.
The GUN truck reappears in Sonic Generations, again in City Escape with a new look that makes it more refined and armed with new tools such as buzzsaws and rocket thrusters that allow it to gain enough speed to run along buildings like Sonic can. It appears in both Acts, chasing both Sonics.
In Act 1, the truck chases Classic Sonic across the stage, destroying roads and releasing robots, but at the end of act it will collide with a bridge support and is destroyed. In Act 2, the truck appears near the end of the stage to chase Sonic, just like in the original stage in Sonic Adventure 2. This time, the truck will unleash chainsaws and use rocket thrusters to chase Sonic up the sides of buildings until it crashes into a building and explodes.
In other media
The GUN Truck has a small appearance in the Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog comic series as part of the adaptation of Sonic Adventure 2, appearing in issue #98 with Paladin Team Sigma-Alpha 2 aboard it.
