Egg Rocket Zone is the sixth Zone of Sonic Advance. This Zone comes after Angel Island Zone and precedes Cosmic Angel Zone.

Overview

The Zone starts outside, on some kind of rocket-launching platform at sunset. Once the player enters the rocket itself, it will take off, causing the time counter to start counting down from 4 minutes and 59 seconds. Therefore, the player is tasked with having to make it to the next part of the rocket where a section of the rocket breaks off and the rocket moves even higher up before the clock counts all the way down. If the player makes it in time, then the clock will be set back to 4 minutes and 59 seconds. There are a total of three segments to the rocket, making this level and Act the longest in the entire game. The goal at the end of the third segment is the entrance to the next level, Cosmic Angel Zone.

The outer areas of the first and second segments of the rocket are abundant with bottomless pits, making those places incredibly dangerous. The third segment, which is up in space, includes the famous gravity reversal feature seen in Sonic & Knuckles' Death Egg Zone.
