Egg Lancers are combat automatons constructed by Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, deployed by the mad scientist in and around Soleanna during Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). They are named only in the game's official strategy guide.
A variant of the more common Egg Gunner robot, painted blue instead of white, the Egg Lancer model is equipped with an energy cannon in each arm along with a propulsion unit mounted on its back. It attacks by using homing energy bullets when the enemy is far away or using the vulkan cannon when its close. It has some armour and takes two hits to destroy. As with other Sonic '06 robots, they are powered by Light Cores.
