E-1002 Egg Flapper, also known as the Egg Drone, is an E-Series robot, and one of the most common robots in the Eggman Empire after the Egg Pawn. These hovering drones appear throughout Sonic Heroes, serving as Robotnik's principal flying troops.
Egg Flappers come in a profusion of different colours and styles, from green to orange to pink to grey, with weapon attachments including mounted searchlights, cannons, spikes, electric blasts, and bombs. Unadorned they may serve as stepping stones to travel over a bottomless pit via sequential Homing Attacks.
These enemies are most commonly disposed of with Thunder Shoot, although a first-level Fly formation attack will only knock them out of the sky; a Power or Speed character must then take over to deliver the coup de grâce.
