The Drillinator takes place in a circular construction arena on Planet Wisp. This boss is basically an upgraded version of the Tropical Resort boss and remade specifically to fit to the plant's theme. This boss has the ability to regenerate its energy, and ergo its health, should the player dawdle with the boss fight. If the player boosts the back of the boss's drill, Sonic will obtain the Yellow Drill wisp and able to attack what appears to be Drillinator's generators, whilst the boss is charging up. This causes the boss to presumptively short circuit, and leaves itself open for a final blow.
