Commander Walters is a minor human character in the 2020 live-action film Sonic the Hedgehog. He is the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who enlists the assistance of Dr. Robotnik to investigate the cause of the electromagnetic pulse (EMP) incident that caused a major blackout across the Pacific Northwest of the United States, strongly suspecting a terrorist attack. In reality, EMP was accidently triggered by Sonic the Hedgehog when he involuntarily unleashed his power.
Walters is portrayed in the film by Canadian actor Tom Butler.
