Cluck

Cluck is a robotic chicken created by DiC for the 1993 Sonic the Hedgehog animated TV series (SatAM). It acts as Dr. Robotnik's pet, fulfilling a similar role to the Persian white cat of Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the James Bond films.

Sonic the Hedgehog (TV series)

Cluck is the only character that Robotnik is seen to care about in the series, but aside from making clucking noises (provided by Frank Welker) does very little in the show. Snively has been shown to dislike Cluck, causing the chicken's eye to pop out through the use of a remote control. Earlier designs suggest the character was meant to be an (organic) angry-looking black rooster, but was changed into a robot as time went on. It is possible that elements from the Clucker enemy from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 also played a part in its final design.

Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie comics)

In the US Sonic the Hedgehog comic series Cluck fulfils a similar role but has some brief lines of dialogue, similar to the likes of Crabmeat and Caterkiller.
