Chrome Gadget Zone is a two-player zone in Sonic 3. It appears to be in an industrial area.
The only danger is a platform that takes the character down to the rest of the area if stood upon. Hitting the bottom of the platform will kill the character.
There are fans that will raise the character from the ground to the next area, which is a big, U-shaped pit. Falling into the pit can cost precious time. If the player manages to avoid it, he will run into a path and hit a few bumpers, and then return to the beginning of the level.
