|Glide Upwards - Knuckles ({{Y}}+{{A}}) -You will only go upwards 10 or so feet in the game and then even out and glide back down. Letting go and pressing again makes you go higher. Or you can hold {{Z}}, and press {{A}}. It might do the normal upward glide at first, so hit {{A}} again and you'll shoot upwards diagonally much higher than with just {{A}}.

|Debug Menu. For Sonic Adventure DX, the Debug code works differently than the Dreamcast version. It's not really as great either. Here's all of the changes I noticed with this code enabled: When Sonic is running, a white "collision sphere" is drawn around him, Sometimes the "death areas" (where you can fall and die) are lit up in white.., On the adventure fields, the Ring counter is always visible.

Cheat Codes

These are cheat codes for Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut which can be accessed by inputting button sequences or by various other methods.

Cheat Codes

  • Multiplayer in Game Gear games: Press Start on the second controller and a second screen will appear. If the game is multiplayer it will go into multiplayer mode, if not it will be two separate gameplay sessions.

Game Specific Cheats

For game specific cheat codes that work on the unlockable Game Gear games see the links below:

Unlockables

  • Mission Mode: Complete Adventure mode with each character.
Then, Mission Mode will be unlocked and playable for that character via the Main Menu.

Characters

  • Tails: Beat Emerald Coast with Sonic.
  • Amy: Beat Windy Valley with Sonic.
  • Big: Beat Chaos 6 with Sonic in story mode. Alternatively, players can beat Sand Hill with Tails, or find him in Station Square.
  • Knuckles: Beat Knuckles with Sonic or Tails in story mode.
  • E102 Gamma : Beat E102 Gamma with Sonic or Tails.
  • Super Sonic: Beat all six main character stories.
  • Metal Sonic: Collect all 130 emblems. He can only(natively) be used in Trial mode.

Character Upgrades

Sonic the Hedgehog:

  • Light Speed Shoes: Can be found in the sewer near city hall, not the one behind Twinkle Park.
  • Crystal Ring: Walk up the steps in the hotel and press the two buttons, one will open the door and the other to create a temporary trail of rings. Use Light Speed Dash facing the trail of rings. Note: You need to have Light Speed Shoes.
  • Ancient Light: Can be found on top of a small boulder on Angel Island.

Miles "Tails" Prower:

  • Jet Ankle: Can be found in a hole in the ceiling in the sewer behind Twinkle Park.
  • Rhythm Badge: Can be found around the Knuckles Tribe shrine in a flash back with Tikal.

Knuckles the Echidna:

  • Shovel Claw: Can be found in the East Cave in Mystic Ruins with the monkey guard. After you got them, you'll be trapped. Go to an area with Eggman's face popping up and down and dig there. You'll find a Monkey Destruction button. Carry it and take it near the monkey guard. jump and press on the switch to destroy the monkey and the door opens.
  • Fighting Gloves: Can be found on the ledge near Big's house.

Amy Rose:

  • Long Rod: Can be found under the bed at Big's House.
  • Lure Upgrade 1: Can be found in the sewer behind Twinkle Park.
  • Lure Upgrade 2: Can be found under a sheet of ice in Icecap.
  • Lure Upgrade 3: Can be found inside a cave in the jungle of Mystic Ruins.

E-102 "Y" Gamma:

  • Booster: Can be found in the Weapon's Armory on the Egg Carrier.
  • Laser Blaster: Can be found in the restricted room on the Egg Carrier after it crashes down.

Secret Chao Eggs

  • Silver Chao Egg: Go to the waterfall area in the Mystic Ruins adventure field. On your right, there's a pushable wall panel. Push it and a Silver Chao Egg will appear. Carry it and take it to any Chao Garden.
  • Golden Chao Egg: Go to city hall, the place where Sonic fought Chaos 0, in the Station Square adventure field. On your left from the entrance wall, where there are a few palm trees, there is an egg-shaped rock. Pick it up and go to the antique shop. Place the rock somewhere else and pick up the Gold Egg. When you pick up the Gold Egg, bars will barricade the door and keep you from leaving with it. Pick up the rock and put it on the Gold Egg's stand. The barricade will disappear again, so pick up the golden egg and take it to any Chao Garden.
  • Onyx Egg: This egg can only be obtained by Amy Rose, E-102 Gamma and Big the Cat. In the Egg Carrier's prison where Amy was held, there is an onyx colored egg in the middle cell. To open the cell door, jump on the large switch that's next to it. Take it to the Egg Carrier Chao Garden.

Letting go and pressing again makes Knuckles go higher. Alternatively, holding Z and pressing A might do the normal upward glide at first, so hit A again and Knuckles will shoot upwards diagonally much higher than with just A.
A610-U7T8-KFQ8P + 8X6H-UD90-Y0TW7 Always free camera mode: This make scenes in the game where the camera was very well scripted, such as the whale chase in Emerald Coast, much more difficult to play. This will not affect the camera in cutscenes, however.
4PP1-7DKF-30JTH + 7B41-AZ0K-MVXYY Debug Menu: For Sonic Adventure DX, the Debug code works differently than in the Dreamcast version. It is not as full-featured as the Debug mode present in the Dreamcast version. When Sonic is running, a white "collision sphere" is drawn around him, sometimes the "death areas" (where the player can fall and die) are lit up in white, and on the adventure fields, the ring counter is always visible.
Level Codes

Credit goes to sonicblur for spending the time researching these codes, and Sazpaimon for encoding them.

To activate the level selected, hold the D-Pad directional arrow up before loading a level, and the specified level will load instead.
