Levels with the urban theme feature buildings, roads, and cars. This theme first appeared in Star Light Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog (16-bit).
These levels are distinct from those with an industrial theme in that they are generally easier and indicate a lesser presence of Dr. Eggman. They take place in an environment dominated by humans. This theme is most often seen in newer Sonic games; however, there is a number of examples in the older games as well.
