Bridge Zone, Act 2.

Bridge Zone was the second zone on Sonic the Hedgehog for Game Gear and Sega Master System.

Bridge Zone is unique to the SMS/GG game.

Synopsis

Bridge Zone is a zone filled with high ledges and thousands of bridges, hanging over a river in which robotic fish jump up to try and bite Sonic. Also, we see an enemy with spikes on its back.

Acts

Act One - This is the introductory level to the zone. Simply navigate to the end of the level. Some bridges collapse as you walk on them so be careful. You will also encounter balance scales. Jump on them to make the weight jump up, and when it falls down, you will be propelled up. The more you let it hop, the higher Sonic can ascend.

Act Two - This level scrolls, so if Sonic isn't fast enough, he will start to get pushed by an invisible wall on the left of the screen. And if no one is watching, Sonic might fall off a bridge.

Act Three - Note: this description is for the Master System version of the game The battle against Dr. Robotnik. Go to the battle area by running to the right of the level. You will find an area with two banks of a stream, and a tiny island in the middle. Robotnik appears from the flowing water on either side of the island. Jump on his tiny pod as many times as you can before you shoots a few bullets to the left or right, and ducks underwater again. On the Game Gear version of this level, the island has been replaced by an ongoing two-part bridge which can not be fallen off of, leaving Dr. Robotnik and his projectiles as the only things to worry about during this battle.

Other

Act One - Before you walk over a bridge (one whose planks fall down), you may notice the chaos emerald sitting on a ledge. Stand on the left most falling plank, and as it falls, jump on to the ledge and get the emerald. Jump to the left to get off the ledge, and on to land.
