It's remixed for the fights against the Nega-Wisp Armor and the DS-exclusive Nega-Mother Wisp boss battles as well as other instances within both versions of the game. The former version on the DS was actually performed by the London Symphony Orchestra (which that version appears on the soundtrack), and the latter is more in tune to an 8-bit and 16-bit (a combo of the Game Gear and the Genesis) of the theme.\n\nThe lyrics were originally written by Zachary Jacob Lawrence and submitted for a contest, where it was selected as the winner. The lyrics were slightly modified for use in the game.\n\n==Lyrics==\nTake off, at the speed of sound
\nBright lights, colors all around
\nI'm running wild, living fast, and free
\nGot no regrets inside of me
\n
\nNot looking back
\nNot giving up
\nNot letting go
\nI'll keep on running
\n
\nI'm gonna reach for the stars
\nAlthough they look pretty far
\nI'm gonna find my own way
\nAnd take a chance on today
\n
\nThe sky with stars so bright
\nThe colors feel so right
\nI never felt like this
\nI'll keep on running
\n
\nThe sky with stars so bright
\nThe colors feel so right
\nJust take my hand
\nWe're gonna reach for the stars
\nTonight...
\n
\nTonight....
\n
\nWake up, living day by day.
\nDo what I want, and I'll do it my way
\nThe world is flying right below my feet
\nGot no regrets inside of me.
\n
\nNot looking back (Not looking back)
\nNot giving up (Not giving up)
\nNot letting go
\nI'll keep on running!
\n
\nI'm gonna reach for the stars
\nAlthough they look pretty far
\nI'm gonna find my own way
\nAnd take a chance on today
\n
\nThe sky with stars so bright
\nThe colors feel so right
\nI've never felt like this
\nI'll keep on running
\n
\nThe sky with stars so bright
\nThe colors feel so right
\nJust take my hand
\nWe're gonna reach for the stars
\nTonight...
\n
\nTonight....
\n
\n(Instrumental)
\n
\nI've got it in my sight.
\nThe colors feels so right.
\nGot my feet off the ground
\nI'll keep on running!
\n
\nOh, I can feel it now.
\nThe colors all around
\nJust take my hand we're gonna reach for the stars...
\n
\nJust take a chance (Just take a chance)
\nWe'll do it right again
\n(I'm gonna reach for the stars)
\nJust take my hand (Just take my hand)
\nWe'll take a chance tonight...
\nReach for the stars...
\n
\nTonight!
\n
\nTonight...
\n\n==Production credits==\n\n\n==References==\n<references/>\n\n4"

It is completely automated, and uses water as fuel to operate. Among the many engines is a machine that will dispense Rings to the racers at no cost, making it easier for them to amass enough Rings to unlock the goodies to be found on the track.\n\nThis course contains two Chaos Emeralds and collecting all five Sonic Tokens (and finishing in the top three) will allow the player to race against and unlock Metal Knuckles. This course's theme is \"Work it Out\".\n\n==Quotes==\n\n\n==Special item locations==\nThe following are the locations of the Chaos Emeralds and Sonic Tokens in this course:\n===Chaos Emeralds===\n*Red Chaos Emerald: Open the 50-Ring Gate located after the loop-de-loop. This will make the pillar in front of it eject the Emerald.\n*Grey Chaos Emerald: Upon reaching the Accelerator, veer to the left and open the 50-Ring Door. The machine in front of it will eject the Emerald.\n\n===Sonic Tokens===\n*1st Token: From the first Item Panel, immediately turn right to an alternate path, and cross the pond to reach the Token.\n*2nd Token: From the starting line, keep running forward to reach a machine with the Token resting on top.\n*3rd Token: After the Accelerator, keep running straight forward to stay on the main path, then turn right when the road splits.\n*4th Token: Keep following the path from above, and turn left.\n*5th Token: Open the 20-Ring Gate located after the Ring dispenser.\n\n==Gallery==\n<gallery>\nSonicR Art MapReactiveFactory.png|Rendered map of the course.\n</gallery>\n\n==References==\n<references/>\n\nSonicROmni"
