Ok, so I've been doing some thinking about the collection of Sonic X-treme pages on the wiki, since they certainly need a refresh. But I keep on staring at this one and wondering...does this need its own page? Half of the description is idle speculation on what the gameplay could have been, which is a bit silly considering Chris Senn's comments on what the image is.
"That is a mockup image I created somewhere during the 32X development to explore an isometric version of our game. It is not a screencapture but a mockup using 3D software and photoshop.
As to what the gameplay was going to be, etc.? Didn't explore that for the screenshot so much as seeing if the "look" could be cool. (keep in mind this was before 3D Blast, too)."[1]
Reading that, it makes it sound less like a unique game concept he was looking to pitch, and more the exploratory process while either working with Michael Kosaka, or a period after Kosaka left but before things moved to the Saturn. If anything, I'd argue this image belongs on a cleaned-up version of the Sonic Mars/Sonic 32X development page. At the very least, it's not a Mega Drive game, which is what it's been labeled as on the wiki since the beginning (I'm assuming because that's what Sonic Cult said it was years and years ago, and no one has given it much thought since).--David The Lurker (talk) 14:32, 22 February 2023 (EST)
