Giant Ring

From Sonic Retro

FYI

Rings is officially a proper noun in the Sonic games. That's why it's usually always capitalized. I can pull out screenshots on demand to prove it as well.Aquaslash 15:14, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

They probably just capitalise it for emphasis. Also, I thought "giant ring" was just a description rather than an official term for the object. - Hivebrain 19:28, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
It might be. I'd have to look that one up. Probably in the early manuals or something.Aquaslash 04:32, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Page name, Sonic Lost World and Sonic 4

The only official usage of "giant Ring" I've found is in the English language Chaotix manual, and that was with a lower case "g". Unfortunately, there's no clear answer as to what this page should be called instead, since the naming is so inconsistent. My vote would be for "Special Ring", as it was the first English language name (with the North American release of Sonic CD) and is the most frequently used name in Japan (Sonic 3, S&K, Chaotix, G Sonic).

Also, I've been trying to find out what the big Rings are called in Sonic Lost World 3DS and Sonic 4: Episode I and Episode II. Being a 3DS game, Lost World 3DS should have a digital manual shouldn't it? I don't actually own it, so if anyone could take a look, that would be great. Not sure where to look for Sonic 4, it doesn't seem to be mentioned on the old official websites. --Pecky (talk) 17:11, 7 March 2020 (EST)
