Stories
Story one
Dr. Starline has tested Surge and Kit as best as he can, now he is ready for the final check on his to-do list before initiating "Operation: Remaster". Previously he used an override program on Eggman's robots, however it relied on the network's permission to exploit the EggNet. For Starline's endgame, he must take control over all of Dr. Eggman's tech. Tonight he will be targeting Egg Base Alpha for his final test. He tells Surge and Kit what they need to do when they get to the location, but Surge ignores his ideas. While Surge and Kit were arguing about the plan, an Egg Breaker attacked them.
Meanwhile, Starline found Eggman's Egg Cave from Sonic the Hedgehog Annual 2020. He reminisces in there about "simpler times" and believes he has evolved since the Metal Virus outbreak. Back with Surge and Kit, they see Surge after an attack that would have killed a normal person is just fine to their surprise. The two of them then finish their fight with the Egg Breaker and stomp on the pile of scrap behind. They are then surrounded by Antons, but weirdly they aren't being attacked by them. Dr. Starline has successfully taken over this Egg Base and all the Badniks in it. Once Surge and Kit are alone, they talk about how there was no way Surge should have survived the blow from the Egg Breaker. They want to find Dr. Starline's records and see for themselves what is really going on.
