- 1959 — Nigel Kitching, one of the main writers of Sonic the Comic, is born.
- 1992 — Erica Lindbeck, the English voice of Blaze the Cat starting in 2019, is born.
- 1993 — Fleetway begins publishing Sonic the Comic in the UK.
- 2008 — Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is released for the Wii in South Korea. Issue #33 of the Sonic X comic series is released in North America.
- 2013 — Issue #249 of the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series by Archie Comics is released in North America.
- 2019 — Maximum Overdrive - Team Sonic Racing Original Soundtrack, a CD, is released alongside being released for the Mora streaming platform in Japan as well as Google Play for North America and Europe and iTunes for North America, Europe, and Australia.
