- 1960 — Jon St. John, the original English voice of Big the Cat, is born.
- 2002 — Sonic Mega Collection is released for the Nintendo GameCube alongside Sonic Advance 2 for the Game Boy Advance in Japan.
- 2007 — Sonic the Hedgehog is released for the iPod in Japan. Issue #183 of the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series by Archie Comics is released in North America.
- 2008 — Sonic Unleashed is released for the PlayStation 3 in Europe and South Korea.
- 2011 — Sonic the Hedgehog CD is released for iOS in Japan.
- 2012 — The History of Sonic the Hedgehog, a book, is released alongside Issue #47 of Sonic Universe in North America. Seven Rings in Hand: Sonic and the Secret Rings Original Sound Track and Sonic and the Black Knight Official Soundtrack are made available for download from Amazon in Japan, North America and Europe while Planetary Pieces: Sonic World Adventure Original Soundtrack, Shadow the Hedgehog Official Soundtrack, and Sonic the Hedgehog Original Sound Track are made available for download from Amazon in North America and Europe. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is released for the PlayStation Vita in South Korea and Taiwan.
