Smiley the Shark is a character who appears in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog television series. He is a card shark who likes to gamble for high stakes with Mobian inhabitants under Dr. Robotnik's orders.
History
In "High Stakes Sonic", Smiley gets several Mobians to play for free labor and wins against over 1,000 people. The ones he manages to defeat in his rigged games get loaded onto a bus and taken to Dr. Robotnik himself to be put to work.
Though Sonic would put a stop to his schemes by beating his hustling robot at a game where he had to find the pea under the right nutshell out of three, he would later help Robotnik capture Tails. He then sold tickets to sheep for the race between Sonic and Grounder.
