First, notice Tails can fly in this prototype. This immediately means it's a newer prototype.
Next, can't tell whether Robotnik is coming straight down (beta style) or diagonally (final style)? We can actually First, Tails can fly in this prototype.
Second, we can tell the boss' coming straight down, because 1) his horizontal position matches exactly as in our prototype, 2) had he come diagonally, his aircraft would have touched the vehicle by the time it reaches the 3rd tree from the right.
